FAA Medical Certification:

The FAA Medical Certification is a mandatory evaluation ensuring pilots meet specific health standards for safe aviation operations. Conducted by an authorized Aviation Medical Examiner (AME), this assessment determines a pilot’s physical and mental fitness. It is vital for maintaining flight privileges and upholding air travel safety.

DOT Exam

Commercial drivers, including truckers, bus operators, and ambulance drivers, play crucial roles in transportation. They require specialized training, adhere to strict regulations by FMCSA, and undergo regular health assessments to ensure safety on the road. These professionals are essential for the efficient movement of goods, passengers, and critical medical services.

Ensuring Safety for Sports Enthusiasts

It includes a thorough physical examination, and medical history review, and may cover vital signs, vision, hearing, and musculoskeletal health.

Keeping the roadways, and drivers safe!

Commercial Drivers

In compliance with the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration (FMCSA) regulations, commercial drivers are now mandated to undergo examinations conducted exclusively by certified medical examiners. Dr. Lemmon possesses FMCSA authorization to administer CDLs.

CDL medical examiners are required to complete specialized training and achieve a minimum score of 80% on the examination. The NRCME maintains a database of qualified medical examiners authorized to issue CDLs.

Many ambulance drivers may need CDL Medical Certification. It’s advisable to consult with your employer for specific requirements.

For Long Haul Truck Drivers, the National Registry of Certified Medical Examiners (NRCME) keeps a comprehensive record of qualified medical examiners authorized to issue CDLs to commercial drivers.

For School Bus Drivers, locating an examiner in your vicinity is easy. Simply visit the NRCME website and enter either your city and state or your zip code. You’ll receive a list of all examiners within a 10-500 mile radius.

Any commercial driver responsible for transporting the public must possess a CDL issued by a medical examiner authorized by the FMCSA.

Several recommendations for Dr. Lemmon were spot on: Right on the flight line at TIW so I was able to fly in; already a plus. Comfortable wait, quick prelims, thorough and professional but very comfortable exam, and quick paperwork. I'll be back next year.
